Dr Ala' Al Heresh is a senior consultant rheumatologist, founder and head of rheumatology unit since 1996, King Hussein Medical centre, Jordan. He is a clinical associateprofessor at Jordan university medical college.He did his training in internal medicine in United Kingdome at Kent and Canterbury hospital, and in 1993 continued his fellowship training in rheumatology at the Royal Nationalhospital for Rheumatic disease, Bath, England. He was awarded the diploma of membershipof the Royal college MRCP (UK) 1992, the fellowship of the Royal College of physicians ofLondon 2003 FRCP (London) and currently the international adviser for the Royal College ofPhysicians of London.He is a member of many professional National and International bodies, president ofJordanian Rheumatism Society and member of the higher scientific committee of JordanMedical Council. He is examiner, at ophthalmology diploma examination of the royal collegeof surgeons of Glasgow, internal medicine part, and examiner at the Jordanian board ofrheumatology and internal medicine.Dr Al Heresh was the editor in chief of the Medical Journal of the Royal Medical Services,Jordan and reviewer of several medical journals. His main interest is thespondyloarthropathy and psoriatic arthritis; he published many related articles in beer reviewed journals.Currently he works as a senior consultant rheumatologist in his private practice.
